Audi A8 W12 Short wheel base 1st Reg Nov 2004 04 Plate, 96,000 miles, 2 Previous keepers, Just MOTed by Stirling Audi until March 2012 and taxed until end of may 2011 with a full Audi Main dealer service history. This is the 6.0 W12-cylinder version of the A8 with 450 Bhp and a 6-speed Auto gearbox with Paddle shift and sport modes. It was special order by Audi for its 1st Owner (a London financial intuition not surprisingly) and cost new a staggering £84,000. I have all the paper work on the car including the original HPI check, details of former keepers, Audi dealer receipts and all previous MOTs. The engine has timing chains so there’s no expensive belt changes to pay for. I pay £370 fully comp for insurance and tax for the year is £250 fuel economy on any performance car is always going to suffer but it’s by no means ridiculous if you’re not driving the car aggressively. Vehicle condition As with any car there is some light wear and tear, there are a few minor stone chips however as it’s an all aluminium body shell there’s no corrosion. The rear wheels have some light scuffs on them and could probably do with a refurbishment if you want a brand new look. Hello WELCOME TO MY NO RESERVE AUCTION MY WELL LOOKED AFTER AUDI A8 4.2 QUATTRO SPORT The car is a 1996 model has covered just over 95,500 miles from new and comes with a full service history and private A8 registration number I apologise in advance for my lengthy description, but the car warrants it! Where do I start with this amazing car! I have owned this personally for the last year and have enjoyed every minute. I have found it to be hyper reliable, very powerful, extremely comfortable and unstoppable in the snow over the winter. I am seriously in two minds about letting this one go! Ok on to the car. As can be seen from the pictures the car is finished in bright metallic silver which I personally think is the best colour for the model. The paintwork is free from any nasty dents or scratches and I have kept it regularly polished with Meguiars products. To be perfectly honest with you I had both front and rear bumpers and the bonnet professionally repainted last year due to the usual parking marks to the bumper corners and stonechips to the bonnet. The car now looks far better than most of the same age. Being the SPORT edition it comes complete with full black leather interior featuring Recaro front seats that have the extendable leg supports. The whole interior is in fantastic condition with no untoward wear and tear. I have found the multi adjustable electric front seats to be the most comfortable ones I have ever sat in and make driving the car a pleasure. The heated seats still work perfectly on all 5 settings too and were great during the winter. The A8 registration plate will come with the car. Everything works as it should and the car is silent inside when on the road thanks to the double glazed windows. Whilst on the road the car can only be described as faultless. It starts first turn of the key every time and idles smoothly and silently. It does not emit any smoke under any driving conditions and the power the car delivers is astounding for such a large car. The four wheel drive system works as it should and amazed me when we had the snow Christmas time. It never failed and succeeded to go where a Pajero I had at the time could not. The automatic gearbox with the manual tiptronic mode works perfectly. The changes are silky smooth and cannot be felt. When I bought the car I decided as I was going to be keeping it I wanted to do the major job of replacing the timing belt and water pump. This was specified in the service history as having being replaced at 70,277 miles but I wanted total peace of mind. Now this isn’t an easy job and Audi quote nearly a thousand pounds to do it, but nevertheless I had it all done. I also replaced the oil switch and gave the car a full service (having my own mechanics is so beneficial!). I have pictures of the work being done as proof too. Whilst the front was off (which is a necessity) I also replaced the viscous fan coupling which is a common source of noise on this engine. Even tho the original wasn’t noisy I didn’t want to strip it all off again if things changed. Therefore a very important and expensive job has been addressed – so peace of mind for its new owner. So to recap on the above the car has recently benefited from the following – New cambeltNew water pumpNew viscous fan couplingNew drive belts (Gates) New oil switchFull service which included the correct grade oilCoolant system flushed and refilled with the correct anti freezeA brand new battery has recently been fitted costing £110. I have just had the 3 rubber engine breather pipes replaced as they are common to perish over time and I had the fuel filter replaced. All four tyres are virtually new and they are all of the same brand, namely Avon. The spare wheel (which is an identical alloy) is also fitted with the same tyre, so all 5 wheels have nearly new tyres. The alloys are in good shape apart from the usual marks that’s to be expected with the cars age, although there is one centre cap missing. There is a gap of 5 years in the servicing schedule but the car covered very little mileage during this time. In fact I’ve only covered just over a thousand miles in it since the M.O.T last year! I will include the full computerised printout from V.O.S.A (vehicle and operator services agency) which is detailed above. As can be seen above this print details the mileages and dates and it also disclosed what advisories were issued. Incidentally on the last M.O.T the only advisory was that the rear brake pads were low, therefore I replaced them. I always supply this print in order to be open and above board. Many sellers will conveniently lose or misplace the advisory sheet on the M.O.T so that it doesn’t put buyers off, but I would rather people be totally happy with their purchase, and know exactly what they are buying I’m sure you can appreciate that together with its low mileage and the above history makes this car a very rare find as most have covered nearly double the mileage. In fact the average mileage for this car should be around 150,000 miles, so this is well below average! The M.O.T is valid until the 26th of August this year and it is taxed until the end of September, so all ready to drive away. However, if the car achieves a sensible amount then I am prepared to have a brand new M.O.T put on it too! All of the original books are present and they are still contained within the original Audi leather wallet. It is fully HPi clear and will come with the supporting certificate. Negatives, well show me a second hand car that doesn’t have any! 1) Small line type impression just above the bumper on the passengers rear quarter panel (hardly noticeable, see pic 3) 2) 1 centre cap missing 3) The drivers centre armrest fixing bracket has snapped off the actual armrest (aluminium). I decided to remove both armrests due to this but they are present and both are like new with no marks to the leather. Realistically a new armrest should be sourced and they are available on ebay. 4) The electric rear window blind is temperamental. 5) Due to its age I have to put down that it has the usual marks here and there (but nothing nasty) And that’s it! I’m sure you’d agree that this would be nothing for a year old car let alone one that’s nearly 15. It’s likely that many people would not have even mentioned them considering them ’par for the course’ given the cars age and mileage, but I believe in total honesty in my listings (see my feedback). At the end of the day it is a used second hand car and I am not trying to sell it as ‘showroom condition‘, but it’s probably one of the best you’ll find. To summarise – There are a few A8’s for sale at the moment but low mileage examples like this are a rarity. It is the best model being the 4.2 Quattro Sport and it has been well looked after. It drives without fault and needs nothing spending on it. If you are looking for an unabused example of a well built prestige car that also offers bulletproof mechanicals and superior build quality then look no further. I strongly believe that the first person to view and drive this amazing car will want to buy it. You are bidding on my 2003 Audi A8 4.2 Quattro saloon. I’ve owned this car for the last 2 years / 30,000 miles and it has been a truly wonderful driving experience. I am only selling it because I’ve bought a LWB A8 to replace it! The car has done 125,000 miles, with a full service history and all necessary and recommended maintenance has been performed by either Audi main dealers or more recently an independent Audi specialist. The Last LongLife service was on 22/11/2010 at 121169 miles. Obviously there is wear and tear, and things are not quite as flawless as they were when it left the factory, but this car runs dependably, reliably, smoothly and has been a wonderful part of the family for the last 2 years. The exterior is really excellent. Obviously after 125,000 miles there are some stone chips, and small scuffs here and there but they really aren’t visible and with a private plate people still mistake this car for new. There are a couple of scratches and one mark on the bumper which I’ve taken photos of and included in the walkthrough video. But none of these stand out and certainly they’re not visible if you more than a couple of feet from the car. Inside things are also very good – the car is clean and has not been smoked in or had animals in it. The leather has been well looked after but of course there are some wear marks on the front seats in particular at this mileage. The carpets and mats (not shown in the pictures – they were drying out) are all in great condition. The headlinings and door trims are clean and tidy and generally the car feels very much like a limo inside. There are obviously a few niggles in a car of this age and mileage:one of the stowage nets at the side of the boot is broken (see photo)the clip which holds the toolkit in place has broken (replaced with velcro strap; see photo)the front centre console storage bin cover spring is missing (so the cover doesn’t gently slide open, you have to push it by hand).I hope you agree these are pretty minor – but I’ve nothing to hide so want to mention them here! I have all the obvious paperwork (V5, MOT, service book etc) and have included photos showing the VIN, MMI component versions and SatNav version. I can upgrade the MMI software to the most recent version if you would like (but I don’t believe it provides any new functions, and it will remove some features like the Battery Meter from the MMI menu). Here we have for sale a cherished 1996 Audi A8 3.7 V8 in silver with rich blue leather interior. The car has covered 159396 miles and has been well looked after, regularly serviced initially by Audi and then as the car became older with local garages. The car has newly fitted brake pads and a recent tyre change, however recently faced an issue with overheating. It was show to our local garage who has explained that the head gasket needs changing, as a result the car cannot currently be driven and the bosch battery has gone flat! Exterior Audi’s aluminium space frame design completely deters any sign of rust. The bodywork is almost immaculate. I have taken close ups of the imperfections which can be seen in the pictures. There really are not many. The car has no major bumps or dents/stone chips as shown. Alloys and Tyres 5 X Polished Alloys. Have the minor curbs and usual scuffs but apart from that are in good condition as shown in the pictures. 5 X Michelin Primacy 225/55 R17 101W Tyres. All have fantastic amount of tread. 2 tyres are new. This model of tyre retails at just shy of £200 each. Interior The interior has also been kept extremely well. The driver’s seat shows sign of wear on the right side and one of the arm rests is broken. However, the leather in the rear and passenger seats show no sign of wear and the foot wells are all clean and tidy. There are also currently rubber mats on top of the carpet mats in all foot wells. All windows are electric, the car also has a six CD changer in the boot. Documentation, Service History, MOT and Road Tax The car has service history, manual and 2 keys.
